Placing an order
Our web site accepts orders from mainland UK customers only
We are pleased to accept orders from Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, IOM, IOW, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands by telephone.  All customers may place an order by telephone.

Hours 
The sales office is open between 8.45am - 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am - 4.00pm Friday, excluding bank holidays.  There is an answering service to take messages during our closed periods.

Carriage and packing - you will pay less on internet orders
Internet orders:
UK mainland  deliveries £4.64 for Standard Delivery and £11.75 for Express Despatch. Internet orders over £70.00 are sent carriage free by our standard delivery service.
Telephone orders:
UK mainland deliveries £9.40 for Standard Delivery and £11.75 for Express Despatch.

Carriage will become payable on all 'carriage free orders' if the spend reduces below the carriage free amount caused by the return of goods. Separate carriage charges apply to all non UK mainland destinations including N.I., Scottish Islands, I.O.M. and Channel Islands and is subject to quotation.

Prices
All prices displayed on our main retail web site, including prices quoted on this page, are inclusive of VAT at the standard rate.
 
Delivery Options and despatch of goods
Standard Delivery
Goods are normally despatched within 3 - 10 working days from receipt of order.  We aim to deliver non stock items within 21 days from date of order. Alternative delivery arrangements by request.  Please do not assume goods will be delivered the next day after your order has been placed.  If you require goods 'next day' please use our 'Express Despatch' or 'Saturday Delivery' option. Standard delivery goods are despatched by Royal Mail or signed for courier service.  After two failed delivery attempts by the courier company, goods will be returned to us and additional delivery charges will become payable by you. To avoid failed courier delivery attempts please discuss your delivery arrangements with us at time of ordering.

Express Despatch - please read carefully before opting for this service.
Express despatch is a next working day delivery service and is only available to mainland UK destinations and is subject to certain postcode restrictions and other courier delivery conditions. Our contractual obligation on orders received before 12.00 noon during normal working days will be to despatch goods on the same day, orders received after 12.00 noon will be despatched on the following working day.  Express Despatch orders are subject to goods being available, if we cannot despatch goods in the above mentioned timescales we will contact you, using the contact details you have provided on your order, to advise you of the delay. Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays are not classed as normal working days. Our contractual obligation is not to guarantee delivery the next working day, as described above, due to delivery issues outside the control of Blue Jigsaw Ltd. If there will be nobody available to sign for the goods please contact us before 12.00 noon to make specific delivery arrangements with us to ensure delivery does not fail. After two failed daily delivery attempts by the courier company, goods will be returned to us and additional delivery charges will become payable by you. To avoid failed delivery attempts please discuss your delivery arrangements with us at time of ordering.  Express despatch to certain mainland UK postcodes is unavailable and orders will be despatched using our Standard Delivery service; in this instance a credit will be issued for the difference in price beteen Standard and Express despatch.  If your deliverey address is covered by one of the following postcode areas please do not use the Express Despatch option; IV21-28, IV40, IV54, KW1-3, KW5-14, PA36, PH30-41. Express despatch is a premium bespoke service for your order, should you cancel your order once goods have been despatched charges are not refundable.

Saturday Delivery - please read carefully before opting for this service
Saturday delivery is only available to mainland UK destinations and is subject to certain post code restrictions and courier conditions. Our contractual obligation is to despatch goods on a Saturday delivery service with our courier company, we are not contractually bound to guarentee delivery. Orders received before 12.00 noon on Friday will be despatched for Saturday delivery, subject to stock availability. Delivery is by signed for courier service.  To avoid failed delivery attempts please discuss your delivery arrangements with us at time of ordering. Saturday delivery to the following post code areas is unavailable and orders will not be accepted by us - AB10-56, BT, DD6-11, FK8-21, GY, ZE, LL35-78, ML12, PA20-78, PH1-44, HS1-9, IM, IV, KA3-30, KW1-17, KY6-16, LA8-23, LD3-6, P030-41, SY4-25, TD1-15, TR21-25, WR6-15. Saturday Delivery is a bespoke premium service for your order, should you cancel your order once goods have been depatched charges are not refundable.

Sizes
All sizes quoted on this web site are subject to a plus or minus 3% tolerance.  If your size requirement is very specific please discuss your sizes with us first before placing an order.

Colours 
Colours displayed on our web site are indicative only and may not accurately reflect the actual colour of the item. Please use our free sample service to check colour suitability before ordering. Please note minor shade variations can occur between dye batches of fabric during manufacturing which means there could be a shade variation between a sample cutting and the current production fabric. We reserve the right to supply an alternative product of equal or greater value and specification.

Order confirmation 
When confirmation of your order is received this is to indicate that we have received your order it does not indicate that a contract exists between us.  We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice.  We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason.  In the case of a change in price we will always contact you first to ensure the price is acceptable.
 
Payment 
Terms of business are 'Pro Forma' unless otherwise agreed. Payment can be made by cheque, credit /debit card or bank payment.
 
Returns 
We will provide a full credit or replacement for unused and unmarked goods that are not to specification except for 'cut piece', 'bespoke' and 'made to measure' products as these orders are made specifically for you.  You have the right to cancel your order at any time before delivery and within 7 days after the day of receiving your goods. In the event of you cancelling your order within the time frame mentioned above, you will be responsible for the cost of returning your goods to us; goods must be returned in a saleable condition with their original packaging. After seven working days the sale is considered closed and we will not make a refund. Our product descriptions will tell you if the item is classed as 'cut piece', ' bespoke' or 'made to measure'. If you decide to cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations you must provide written notification to us, within the above mentioned timescale, by letter, fax or email. Unless you have cancelled your order in writing please do not return goods. When returning goods we recommend the use of a 'signed for' carriage service.  Items lost in transit back to us are your responsibility. For all goods not bespoke or made to measure for a refund they must be returned in perfect condition, unused, unwashed and with the original packaging.


Shortages / damages 
Complaints regarding shortages in consignments and damage to goods must be notified in writing (post, fax, e-mail) within 3 calendar days from receipt of goods, otherwise we cannot accept responsibility.
 
Retention of title 
Beneficial title of re-saleable goods remains with the seller until fully paid for.
 
Helpful hints with table linen & bed linen 
Shrinkage - all 100% cotton goods will shrink approximately 6% on weft (width) and up to 8% on warp (length) on laundering.
 
Overhang
When measuring for tablecloths remember to allow for the drop / overhang.  This can be calculated by adding 24" to both the length and the width of the table top for cotton and polyesters table cloths. We recommend a  smaller drop when using wipe clean products - add 20" to both the length and width of the table.
 
Laundering
We recommend when laundering coloured table linen the use of a detergent, free of OBAs (Optical Brightening Agents).
Dark textile colours should always be washed separately. Newly manufactured, dyed woven textiles will release dye during the initial washing cycles and could cause cross dye contamination into other items during laundry.

Samples
We recommend that you order samples prior to purchase as colours on computers are indictive only and can change due to monitor set up. We are happy to send swatches (up to 5) free of charge in one envelope. If you require additional swatches we kindly request you send a stamped addressed envelope (1st class postage) to Blue Jigsaw Ltd, 34 Millcrest Road, Goffs Oak, Herts, EN7 5NU.
